The Little Welsh Dragon

}

The Welsh Dragon Series developed from a grass championship race for three year old horses previously run at Tregaron.

This championship was one of the highlights of the meeting and in an attempt to create something new and different the three year old grass championship was succeeded by a three year old stakes race with a completely new format and became The Little Welsh Dragon. By today, it has developed into a series of aged stakes races.

This series has captured the imagination of horse owners and has become a major feature of racing in Tregaron and are considered to be a prestigious races to win.
